Fortress Wall, the Battle Site in the Japanese...
It is located around Ilsim-ri,
Hwasun-eup and Baekyong-ri, Dong-myeon,
It was a guardian fortress and was flooded
with blood during the Japanese Invasion
of Korea in 1597.
The Japanese army invaded again on Jan.
15, 1597 and committed an act of brutality
in Jeolla-do in July. Samcheon Choi
Gyeong-un could not looked on idly,
built a fortress on Mt. Oseong with
county people, family members, and male
and female servants. They fight desperately
to seave their county against 3,000
Japanese soldiers for three weeks and
died a heroic death.
