Where Kim Satgat Stayed, Being beside Himself...
Because Jeokbyeok(cliff)
has very fine view and suitable natural
condition as the place to recreate,
it was a very famous spot just before
Dongbok Dam was built. Jeokbyeok was
named by Sinjae Choi San-du, who lived
in exile in Dongbok due to the Gimyo
calamity of savants in 1519. He thought
this place ranked next to Jeokbyeok
in China. It is said that Siseon Kim
Satgat wandering all over the nation
was beside himself with a fine view,
never left, and finally became a Taoist
hermit. It is Monument No. 60.
