Hyanggyo Enshrining Confucius and Manhwaru
It was located at Gyo-ri,
Hwsun-eup, Hwasun-gun. It was originally
built as a local educational institution
in 1433. It was destroyed by fire in
1597(Japanese Invasion of Korea) and
restored in 1611 with the reestablishment
of Hwasun-hyeon. It was rebuilt in 1647.
Since 1990, a wall, Manhwaru Pavilion,
Daeseongjeon Hall, Gojiksa, and Myeongrundang
have been repaired.
Manhwas in front of Hwasun Hyanggyo
is two-story pavilion. The pavilion
is somewhat high and all sides are opened.
It was designated as Cultural Asset
Material No. 60.
