Mujinak is different pronunciation of Mudol and has been used since the Silla Period. Mudol means a stone springing rainbows.
Mt. Seseok may have been called since the Goryeo Dynasty, meaning a lucky stone. It is related with Seoseokdae(a group of rocks).
Mt. Mudang means a spiritual mountain. Judging from this, our ancestors thought this mountain was God.
Mt. Mudeom(a grave mountain) may come from its shape like a round grave.
According to tradition, Yi Seong-gye, the first king of the Joseon Dynasty disobeyed king's order in this mountain. Since then people called it Mt. Mujeong(a unkind mountain).
Mt. Mudeung has been called since the Goryeo Dynasty. It means a lofty mountain beyond comparison or a mountain impossible to rank.

  ¢Á Location :
Mt. Mudeung has plenty of tourist attractions: some are towering in order to be viewed from a great distance, while others are only viewed at short range. The mountain is not sharp to climb. Don't be surprise even if you meet the crowd who want to enjoy its scenic beauty on weekend. All of them usually go up in casual wear. If you want to experience spectacular sights, Seoseokdae, Ipseokdae, Seinbong, Gyubong, Wonhyo Valley, Yongchu Valley, Jigong Neodeol(sharp slope), and Deoksan Neodeol(sharp slope) are for yours. For those who prefer a view, visit Jungmeorijae, Jangbuljae, Donghwasa Site, and Jangwonbong. Of these, Imseokdae, Gyubong, Jigong Neodeol, Jangbuljae, and Baekma Ridgeline are viewed only from Hwasun.
