Mujinak is different
pronunciation of Mudol and has
been used since the Silla Period.
Mudol means a stone springing
rainbows.
Mt. Seseok may have been called
since the Goryeo Dynasty, meaning
a lucky stone. It is related with
Seoseokdae(a group of rocks).
Mt. Mudang means a spiritual mountain.
Judging from this, our ancestors
thought this mountain was God.
Mt. Mudeom(a grave mountain) may
come from its shape like a round
grave.
According to tradition, Yi Seong-gye,
the first king of the Joseon Dynasty
disobeyed king's order in this
mountain. Since then people called
it Mt. Mujeong(a unkind mountain).
Mt. Mudeung has been called since
the Goryeo Dynasty. It means a
lofty mountain beyond comparison
or a mountain impossible to rank.

Mt. Mudeung
has plenty of tourist attractions: some
are towering in order to be viewed from
a great distance, while others are only
viewed at short range. The mountain
is not sharp to climb. Don't be surprise
even if you meet the crowd who want
to enjoy its scenic beauty on weekend.
All of them usually go up in casual
wear. If you want to experience spectacular
sights, Seoseokdae, Ipseokdae, Seinbong,
Gyubong, Wonhyo Valley, Yongchu Valley,
Jigong Neodeol(sharp slope), and Deoksan
Neodeol(sharp slope) are for yours.
For those who prefer a view, visit Jungmeorijae,
Jangbuljae, Donghwasa Site, and Jangwonbong.
Of these, Imseokdae, Gyubong, Jigong
Neodeol, Jangbuljae, and Baekma Ridgeline
are viewed only from Hwasun.
